Lady Gaga Celebrates Anniversary of ‘A Star Is Born’ And ‘Shallow’ | Music News

 

This past weekend, Lady Gaga celebrated the one-year anniversary of the release of the movie A Star is Born, and the soundtrack “Shallow” selling 6 million copies worldwide.

 

The star celebrated the two achievements on social media, showing the six-time platinum plaque (2 of them from the US) in front of her previous prizes. “A year ago, A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum Gaga said in the caption of her photo.

 

This has been an incredible year for the singer, who got to win two Grammys for the soundtrack “Shallow”, an Oscar and a Golden Globe, among other prizes. The singer established herself as a successful actress, with an excellent performance in the movie as Ally and with a nomination as best actress at this year’s Oscars.

 

The movie, a romantic drama starring the singer and Bradley Cooper, grossed $42.9 million at its opening, $215.2 million domestic and $434.8 million worldwide, from just a $36 million budget.

 

Lady Gaga is currently working on her sixth album with producer Bloodpop, but, thanks to her success as actress, she has reportedly been offered a new role in Warner Bros production Little Shop of Horrors.

 

Even though nothing is sure about what’s going to happen, fans will surely be able to see her performing very soon.
