Veteran Danish composer, musician and producer Lars Graugaard, under his prolific Lars From Mars moniker, is set to release one of the most adventurous EPs of the year, on June 17 via clang. Titled Persect, the new Lars From Mars record comes on the back of a series of critically acclaimed projects that the Nordic musician has released in the last two years, including well received collaborations with the likes of Keisuke Matsuno, Hans Tammen and Mikkel Ploug.

To accompany this announcement, Lars Graugaard is proud to unveil “Next Junction” as the first single from his forthcoming Persect EP. Composed and produced by Graugaard himself, the single, as with the entire EP, can be best described as music for “the crazy, nutter dancefloor – feets on the ground, heads in the sky”. With its layers of quirky percussions and twisted melodies, “Next Junction” is never easy to categorize or pin down, keeping you gripped from start to finish.

The visuals for “Next Junction”, which were directed by Raúl Miranda and Carolina Eyzaguirre, and inspired by 1942 cult classic film Cat People, complement the record perfectly. From capturing the speed of urban life, to its fascinating saturated colour palette, these visuals tell their own story – of being lost in the immensity of city life, under the shadow of ‘something’ that is felt but not quite seen, emphasised further by the endless loop and arresting music on “Next Junction”.
