Little Simz – Picture Perfect | Music Video

Little Simz released the music video for her track, Picture Perfect, from her new and third album, Stillness In Wonderland, she revealed two months ago. The rapper surprises us with obscure yet captivating animated visuals, illustrated by McKay Felt, and animated by Jeremy Cole and Tom Herring. Their work on the music video production for “Picture Perfect” inspired Eddie Smith and McKay Felt’s four part comic book series.

Despite the song’s groovy and jazzy feel, these illustrations and comics seem to represent Little Simz’ tormented search for herself:

“Set in a world of normal and superpowered individuals, augmented realities, ever growing mistrust, misinformation and corruption spearheaded by The Control Corp, we find Ms. Ajikawo aka Little Simz – a KING level superhuman – at a crossroad in her journey and follow her journey into the infamous ‘WONDERLAND’ to find herself, her focus and her ‘White Rabbit’”.

You can buy the first issue of the comic book here.

Little Simz‘ also announced that the album will be released on Friday, March 24, with her collaboration track, Our Conversations, featuring the Canadian Jazz band, BadBadNotGood.

For those who still haven’t had enough of Simz, she will be touring around the US, Canada and France during the end of the month and all through March. Check out tour dates here.

We definitely wanted to see more after she did a show at The Roundhouse last Sunday, but London will have to wait for the British artist’s dearly anticipated next UK tour to have some live wonderland stillness.
