Malina Weissman Joins Cast Of ‘A Series Of Unfortunate Events’ | TV News
A couple of new faces will be joining the upcoming Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events as they have cast model/actress Malina Weissman in the role of Violet Baudelaire and Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, which will be his first acting role.
Weissman is quickly building up a portfolio for herself, with acting roles in SuperGirl, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the upcoming Nine Lives starring Kevin Spacey. News of Neil Patrick Harris joining the cast surfaced sometime ago but he appears to still be in negotiations over the role.
The show will follow the story of three orphans, who are relentlessly pursued by the nefarious Count Olaf as he tries to get his hands on their family fortune by any means necessary. No word yet on who will play the third Baudelaire orphan, Sunny, or which of Olaf’s various devious cronies from the books will be making an appearance on the show. No doubt more will be revealed when the show finally begins production in March.
