Nick McCarthy, the (now ex-) guitar player of Franz Ferdinand, departed from the band on July the 1st due to wanting to spend more quality time with family.
Only few days later (July 11), there was a new release titled “Cracks In The Concrete” from the Manuela music project, which consists of McCarthy and wife Manuela Gernedel. Perhaps this also counts as quality time with family! Either way, no complaints here!
