Marina Diamandis, London’s very own Pre-Madonna Girl will be taking centre stage this evening for her one off DIY Presents show at Oslo in Hackney, London. The gig will mark her first time back to the UK stage in two years, and hopefully shall be the first of many more to come. Marina told DIY Magazine in a recent interview about her feelings towards playing on British soil once again, “I’m equal parts nervous and excited because it really is my first show back! I’m just like, ‘Holy shit!’ The main thing is creating an atmosphere that’s really welcoming, both from the audience and me. It’s gonna be a trip! It’s gonna be really amazing to be in such a small space with so many hardcore fans”.
Ahead of tonights gig “Gold” was released with the entire album ‘Froot’ is to be released on the 16th of March worldwide by Neon Gold and Atlantic Records.
Thus those of you that weren’t able to get tickets for the gig, will have all the opportunity to have your own personal gig in the comfort of your own home, or garden as the British weathers slowly heating up.
Talking of summer, this summertime will also see Marina play this years Lollapalooza, Coachella and Boston Calling festivals.
