Already a successful superproducer, Mark Ronson really hit it off when he released a new single called “Uptown Funk”, originally sung by Bruno Mars, towards the end of 2014. It quickly became one of the most popular songs ever, and was the most listened to song of 2015. Now, as a special surprise, Ronson decided to choose some of his favourite musicians who have covered the song on Youtube, and brought them back to the studio to record a new version of the song.
“It was brilliant to bring together six unique talents and produce a new cover of my track”, Ronson said. “It’s an honour that such talented people are interested in my music, and I loved working with the group – they shared such a good energy, and we created something special. It’s the first time I’ve ever produced a cover of one of my own songs, and I really enjoyed it”. Watch it below:
