Mark Wahlberg In Talks To Join ‘Triple Frontier’, Replacing Ben Affleck | Film News

Mark Wahlberg is in early talks to head Netflix’s Triple Frontier. He would replace Ben Affleckwho departed to take care of his health – in the J.C. Chandor thriller, which details the highly criminalised border between Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil.

Wahlberg would be the fourth star attached as actors Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy were also forced to abandon the project due to scheduling conflicts. Original director Kathryn Bigelow also left the project, so I wouldn’t get excited about any new castings. That said, the project was hoping to start in August so I imagine Wahlberg will stick around.

Mark Wahlberg is famed for his troubled youth action roles, particularly in the rebooted Transformers series; he can currently be seen fighting with talking cars in Transformers: The Last Knight.
