Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the mysterious DJ Marshmello and BRIT award-nominated singer and former world karate champion Anne-Marie teamed up for a song, which has nothing to do with this romantic celebration. The title of the song is spelled exactly twelve times, to make it clear – there’s no way to be anything more than just “Friends“.
It’s the second time these two musicians are collaborating, in 2016, Marshmello remixed Anne-Marie’s breakthrough hit “Alarm”. With the new single “Friends” they’re aiming to repeat the global success, since it has all the elements of a catchy pop hit – from a subtle acoustic guitar motive, to a bursting chorus filled with electronic sounds.
