American musician Billie Eilish recently starred in the #MYTRUTH ad campaign for Calvin Klein with A$AP Rocky, Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Shawn Mendes, among others. After that successful fashion collaboration, luxury leather goods brand MCM has tapped up the 17-year old rising star to be the face of its Autumn/Winter 2019 campaign, photographed by Lea Colombo.
We can see different personal expressions on the MCM designs that fits with this global pop star, with MCM’s global creative officer Dirk Schönberger explaining that Billie Eilish is the girl that his brand need, saying:
“This is such a strong message at a time where uniformity is somehow on the rise. She’s a game-changer: Not only is she disruptive, but it also feels like she can’t be corrupted. It’s not a marketing trick: She is that person. She really stands out in the current music scene”.
Since Billie Eilish released her EP, she has become a symbol of freedom and the voice of a new generation, in other words the millennials. The pictures taken by the photographer Lea Colombo reflect the personality and mindsets of this young singer. The German brand’s Autumn/Winter collection sees the singer highlighting accessories such as a cross body bag, backpack and hat, among others, in MCM’s signature print.
