Monophonics Have Just Released Their New Single ‘Chances’ | Music News

The psychedelic funk band Monophonics just released their new single “Chances” on February 7! This track is a real mix of Deep Soul and Sweet Soul. The band is made up of like-minded musicians and is led by singer Kelly Finningan.

It was after the release of their single “Like Yesterday” that the Monophonics began to make a name for themselves. They released their first album In Your Brain in 2012, and until 2014, they have multiplied their concerts in several different countries. They also have accompanied the French soul singer Ben L’Oncle Soul on several of his tours.

After a second album entitled Sound Of Sinning, more than a year and a half of touring in different countries and a growing success, the band released their EP Mirrors in 2018, composed of covers of the artists who had influenced them such as Lee Moses, Black Merda, The Invincibles, The Main Ingredient and Dennis Coffey.

Recently, the band released their track “It’s Only Us” which some consider to be their best work to date. It’s a timeless sound that mixes soul and psycho-rock. As for the single “Chances”, which is a mix of deep, Nordic and sweet soul, it was made very quickly according to Finningan.
