Montreal Recording Group No Trombones Release New Single ‘Start A Fire’

Start A Fire” is the brand new single from Canadian recording group No Trombones, which is led by Montreal composer, songwriter and visual artist Rick Vincent.

The band describe the song as one with rich production and so many elements at play that groove together seamlessly. According to A&R platform SKIO, the song is very filled out, but the band has managed to still leave a ton of room for vocals. They say that the band has created an incredibly interesting production, while still leaving enough sonic headroom, and simplicity for someone to sing a beautiful melody on top of.

Vincent has been composing music for film and games over the years, and has also been self-producing his own music since 2018. His band No Trombones can be described as offering a mixture of the past and present with a contemporary twist, putting together elements of jazz, R&B, blues and pop music to create an original flavour.

Every release from the band features musicians from all around the world, as No Trombones assemble talent and collaborators from as far apart as California and Germany, to help weave together their engaging musical stories.

Speaking about their new single “Start A Fire”, No Trombones say, “This is about the feeling you get when you find someone you can open up too. That connection can last a moment and sometimes a lifetime. Thanks for listening“.
