Moschino Takes Inspiration From ‘Barbie’ For Spring 2015 Campaign | Fashion News
For models Anna Ewers, Hollie May Saker and Sasha Luss, Aqua’s lyrics ‘I’m a Barbie girl’ ring true. The trio are set to star in the Moschino Spring 2015 campaign, which offers an irreverent and fun take on the timeless children’s toy. American fashion designer Jeremy Scott has taken inspiration from the Mattel’s ever-glamorous doll, creating pink miniskirts, cute fuchsia jackets and Moschino logo matching sets. Acclaimed photographer Steven Meisel chose to shoot the photographs in black and white, rather than in the bubble-gum pinks usually associated with Barbie. With Moschino’s pieces usually flying off the shelves, this kitsch heads-up to popular culture is bound to follow suit.
