Muse Confirms New Album Title ‘Drones’ | Music News

English rock band Muse recently announced their new album titled Drones. This will be their seventh studio album and was revealed through a sequence of eerie photos posted on their Instagram. The pictures show magazine covers with the titles and the band’s eyes scratched out captioned ‘#MuseDrones’. Back in January, Muse teased fans with a 10 second clip showing a black and blue screen saying “Artist: Muse. Album: Drones“. The video is backed with the noise of a sergeant yelling orders.

There is no official release date for the album as of set, but it is to be released some time this year. Lead singer Matt Bellamy spoke about the production of Drones saying, “have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we’ve experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff“. The band will also be headlining Glastonbury 2015, along with Coldplay and other mega artists.
