N.E.R.D Announce More Music For ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’ Movie Soundtrack | Music News

For those of us whose party trick still consists of breaking into an all singing, all dancing rendition of “Everybody Nose” on cue, the news that N.E.R.D have produced music for the new SpongBob Squarepants Movie soundtrack has ensured that their back catalogue has been on constant repeat in recent weeks. “Squeeze Me” – N.E.R.D’s first release since 2010 – is a bouncy, sunshine filled number that is reminiscent of some of Pharrell’s more recent solo releases, including “Happy”. More good news from the band; they have recorded a further two songs to be featured in the movie, named “Patrick Star” and “Sandy Squirrel” after SpongeBob’s fellow protagonists and Bikini Bottom residents. The tracks are set to be released in the coming weeks, in advance of the movie premiere on February 6. Watch this space for further updates.
