Natalia Kills Speaks Out On X Factor Dismissal – ‘Sometimes TV Producers Plan Drama For Ratings’ | Music News

Former judges on New Zealand’s X Factor, Natalia Kills and Willy Moon have recently spoken out, with the former speaking exclusively to Billboard Magazine, about their dismissal from the show, which became international entertainment news, after their extremely harsh criticism of contestant Joe Irvine during a live taping last week Saturday (March 14), to reveal their own side of the story.

The married couple had released individual statements on the following Wednesday night (March 18) revealing the following on the situation – Kills wrote that she was “encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand” before addressing the contestant saying “Joe, I hope you can forgive me and I wish you the best“, while Moon had stated that “the reality of ‘reality’ TV is that there’s a lot the viewer doesn’t see“, and on Thursday last week, Kills spoke about this sticky situation in more depth in a conversation with Billboard, saying, “obviously sometimes TV producers plan drama for ratings and it totally back fired on them“.

Kills also stated that regardless to the situation, she wishes she had confronted Joe sooner about how she perceived his new look, and that she wishes him all the best with his future in music and reality TV. Let’s just hope that he can bounce back from the viscous comments made, and get back to making a career out of his passion. Ever since their comments went viral, Kills and Moon have been widely criticized and have received heavy backlash for assuming that the contestant copied Moon’s look — but Kills still believes that Irvine was clearly inspired by her husband.
