National Theatre Live’s ‘Frankenstein’ Returns To Cinemas For Encore Screenings | Film News
The 2011 Olivier Award winning play Frankenstein, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, as Frankenstein and his monster respectively is returning to UK cinemas for a limited encore screening courtesy of National Theatre Live. Directed by Oscar Award winner Danny Boyle, who is well known for directing the 90’s cult classic film Trainspotting, an adaptation of the Irvin Welsh’s breakthrough novel, and for helming the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony, the Frankenstein stage production was adapted by Nick Dear from the 1818 novel of the same name by Mary Shelly.
