Ne-Yo Celebrates ‘In My Own Words’ 15th Anniversary With Deluxe Edition | Music News

This Friday, Ne-Yo will be releasing the deluxe version of his classic album In My Own Words in celebration of the project’s 15th anniversary. It will include 6 new songs, retail exclusives such as “Girlfriend”, “Stay” and two live acoustic performances of the hits “So Sick” and “Sexy Love”.

The iconic singer will also be releasing biographical documentary of his life over the past 15 years since In My Own Words made him a superstar. The documentary will also cover his relationship with his wife, his recent performance at George Floyd’s funeral, and his inspiration process to make art.

Ne-Yo released his last album Good Man three years ago which featured the singles “Good Man” and “Push Back”, and last year, he also released the single “Over Again” with Jamaican artist Charly Black for charity. This year, he just finished his final season as a judge of NBC’s World of Dance Competition.

It is undeniable that Ne-Yo is a legend, especially for people born in the 2000’s, like myself, who grew up listening to his dancing hits and have a lot of good memories when he reappears. It’s a crazy nostalgia to listen to his music and we can’t wait to see what the deluxe album will sound like.
