New Images And Trailer Emerge For ‘Pete’s Dragon’ | Film News

Pete's Dragon

Finding yet another film to dig out of their back catalogue for a live-action touch-up, Disney have released a trailer and new images for Pete’s Dragon. In the trailer we get our first look at the titular beastie: Elliott. Hulking and green, Elliott looks like he would be the Hulk’s ride (if the Hulk was into equestrianism, that is).

But alas, Elliott is invisible to all but those he wishes to see him. Then along comes Pete (Oakes Fegley), a young boy who befriends Elliott and together with his friend Natalie (Oona Laurence) seeks to learn more about Elliott: where he came from and who he belongs to.

Leading the makeover is David Lowery, who took inspiration for Elliott’s new look and behaviour from YouTube videos of animals ranging from Australian fly foxes, polar bears and cats.

Pete’s Dragon will land in U.K. cinemas August 12 and you can watch the new trailer below.
