New Zealand Musician Jonathan Bree Unveils New Single ‘Miss You’

New Zealand musician Jonathan Bree has released his latest single “Miss You” featuring the talented Princess Chelsea and Nile Rodgers.

The groovy, emotional track is the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album, Pre-Code Hollywood, which is set to be released digitally on April 14. The album is an avant-garde blend of classic pop and modern experimentation, exploring complicated relationship dynamics with driving synths, orchestral electro, and bendy strings.

To celebrate the release, Bree has directed a creative, fictional video featuring a 1970s-style live TV show, ‘Radio Vision,’ hosted by Dick Driver. The track and video have already gained critical acclaim and have been featured in publications like CLASH.

Bree is renowned for his carefully crafted visual style and his use of masks, which is seen in his iconic music video for “You’re So Cool,” which has received over 28 million views on YouTube. Bree’s live shows, featuring masked band members and cinematic projections for each song, have gained him a dedicated fan base worldwide.

Pre-Code Hollywood was produced in collaboration with Nile Rodgers, the legendary producer known for his work with David Bowie and Madonna. The album’s title track was also produced by Rodgers and features his signature guitar playing.

To celebrate the album’s release, Bree will embark on a European tour with a London show at Oslo in Hackney on 20 April. Fans can expect an unforgettable performance with two dancers performing otherworldly choreography to the music.
