Nia Wyn – Stay In Your Lane | New Music

Raising soul-crossover artist Nia Wyn has shared a new track titled “Stay In Your Lane”. The outstanding vocalist, who has already been singled out by music critics as one of the most exciting new talents, is on her way to releasing her debut EP.

Attracted to blues and soul music from the early years, Nia Wyn would dig out old records from junk shops in her Welsh hometown. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, Naz and Lauryn Hill, she uses her powerful vocals and unique songwiting abilities to tell heartfelt, poignant stories through her music.

Nia was recently tipped by Huw Stephens as one of BBC Introducing’s ‘ones to watch’ this year. She also opened for the likes of Paloma Faith and Paul Weller. Described as one of “One of UK’s most promising soul crossover artists”, the singer is slated to drop her long-awaited debut EP in the next few months.

Nia’s most recent single “Stay In Your Lane” is outstandingly mature and personal, as it explores the theme of a female artist finding her way around the music industry.

In the singer’s own words, “this song was written out of frustration over dealing with dudes in the industry and in other areas of my life telling me what I should do and how I should do it. It’s also about their fragility when you question them and tell them to stay in their lane”.
