Having teased her fans for almost a month, Nicki Minaj has finally released the music video for her latest single “Anaconda”. When she posed on the cover art in… well, not much, that was certainly foreshadowing for the music video itself, due to its explicit nature. Featuring strong language and explicit visuals, the music video is like a more NSFW version of Katy Perry’s “Roar” due to its jungle theme, whereas the song has a very strong Hip-Hop vibe.
If her goal was to get the critics talking, she certainly got what she wanted. It is obvious, however, that the song will appeal to a large audience, if only for the shock factor, as is evident in the amount of YouTube views the song already has. On August 24, Minaj will bring this to the stage of the MTV Video Music Awards. Watch the video below, and let us know what you think.
