Nora Lani Unveils New Single ‘You Don’t Make Me Better’

Nora Lani has recently released a new track entitled “You Don’t Make Me Better”. What makes this track stand out the most is the fact that it reflects a break-up the singer had, which she was inspired by whilst writing the song.

While showcasing her calm and soothing voice, she managed to perfectly make use of the lyrics in a way that allows her to fully explain to us, how her past relationship was no longer healthy for her. It was basically like gathering up all the memories she had left from it before letting go of it completely.

Nora explains that the track reflects “on a past relationship. It’s the last steps of remembering and recollecting memories about what happened, how you felt but also wonder about how you changed during the course of the relationship before fully letting go. I barely changed the lyrics from the first time I wrote it as I wanted to keep it as natural and true to my initial thoughts as possible”.

As Nora tells us, the chorus of the song, which goes “You won’t break me, but you don’t make me better”, is the simple conclusion she reached after she reflected on how no matter how painful it was, that relationship did not break her but it didn’t make her better either and as such, it wasn’t healthy for her to remain in it, so according to her, “moving on was the right decision to make”.
