North West London Rap Artist Abby Power Returns With ‘Why Don’t We Go?’

North West London rap artist and songwriter Abby Power makes her return to the platform with her brand new single titled “Why Don’t We Go?”, which is the latest single from her upcoming EP Influenced.

The British artist has been writing and recording music since 2010, after starting her creative journey by writing poetry inspired by Def Poetry Jam, then evolving into songwriting and taking influences from the likes of Lauryn Hill, Kanye West and Mos Def.

After taking a 5-year hiatus from music, Abby Power came back in 2020 with her first of two latest EPs titled Home Is Where The Start Is as well as a string of notable singles and collaborations. She followed that project up with her Class Of ’94 project, both topping Amazon UK’s rap and hip hop album chart, and garnering support from the likes of Spotify and BBC Introducing.

Speaking about “Why Don’t We Go?”, Abby Power says, “Taken from my upcoming EP ‘Influenced’, I wanted to create a feel good song that could help you to escape to somewhere else – somewhere beautiful in the world instead of stuck behind a computer screen at work or waking up to a job you’d rather not be doing! The style and vibe was inspired by the likes of Outkast and Jhene Aiko, and I hope the tone, melodies and energy of the song reflects that“.
