Norwegian Artist Oh Blonde Drops New Single ‘Got Me Good’

Emerging Norwegian artist, Oh Blonde, has unveiled her latest single, “Got Me Good“.

Drenched in melancholic sentiments, the song delves into the realm of unrequited love, painting a vivid picture of the struggle involved in moving on from a relationship where the other party has unintentionally claimed your heart.

The song’s inception took place on the quaint red piano in Oh Blonde’s bedroom and gradually evolved with contributions from her close friend, Tonia, in a modest piano room at their university. However, it wasn’t until a fellow artist encouraged her to develop her own music during a lockdown period that the song began to truly blossom.

Oh Blonde further breathed life into the song by recording vocals within the intimate confines of her closet and crafting a demo, guided by the talented producers Anna Fauske and Ola Fryen. The influences of prominent Scandinavian artists like SHY Martin and Dagny are perceptible in the final track.

Ethereal vocals, compelling pop melodies, and robust production define Oh Blonde’s unique musical style. Born Maren Holmgren, she hails from Norway’s scenic west coast and embarked on her musical journey in 2022, after refining her talent at the esteemed Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts for three years.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Olivia Dean, Emilie Nicolas, and Maggie Rogers, Oh Blonde’s music explores themes of love, self-discovery, and relationships. A buoyant undercurrent of optimism and resilience permeates her songs, offering an infectious energy that listeners can’t help but resonate with.
