One Direction And Pharrell To Headline Apple Music Festival | Music News

Apple Music has rebranded their yearly festival, formerly known as the iTunes Festival, into the Apple Music Festival, and with the re-branding comes the reveal of a whole host of colossal names such as One Direction, Pharrell, Florence + the Machine and British dance music sensation Disclosure as headliners this year. Apple really seem to be trying to prove a point lately with their new streaming service – countless big names hosting radio shows and channels and popular artists such as James Bay helping promote their new music service.

Apple has also revamped the date and length of the festival from a month to ten nights starting on September 19, rather than the first of the month. With iTunes being virtually pushed aside for its bigger and better successor, it is hard not to ask the question, is iTunes dead?
