Anticipation is growing for Palma Violets‘ upcoming second album Danger In The Club due out on May 4. And why wouldn’t it be? After giving us the title-track as the lead single off the project, a boisterous number that will have you swilling mugs of ale until you drop, single number two, “English Tongue”, gushes the same rowdiness. The tune is carried to the free-for-all climax first by a charming piano and then an humming organ, with claims of “everybody knows just who I am” coming from Sam Fryer. By now his drawl’s as recognizable as the Palma’s rousing rattle. The South London foursome aren’t just a band, they’re a band of brothers. Raise the ales once more.
