I don’t even know who I am sometimes” – a new documentary about Paris Hilton is on the way to reveal a look behind the phenomena of the super rich celebrity. The documentary about the tragic youth of the The Simple Life star will premiere on September 14 on YouTube.

 

The 39-year old DJ and businesswoman is well-known for her attitude and big party scandals around the 2000s. Now we will get a further impression of the person behind the party girl image and the “That’s hot” quote.

 

For the documentary, Paris opens up for the first time about childhood traumas, abuse in school and her emotions about the infamous sex tape scandal. The biggest revelation is that she suffered abuse as a child and never recovered from this experience she didn’t even tell her parents about.

 

The abuse was including strangulation and being locked in rooms while attending Provo Canyon School as a teenager. “I feel like a lot of the people who worked there got off on torturing children and seeing them naked,” she said. “They would prescribe everyone all these pills. I didn’t know what they were giving me. I would just feel so tired and numb“ Paris says.

 

When she returned to New York, she was traumatized, but tried to distance herself from the incidents. “I think all my anger just went into my drive for success“, she explained. “It made me strong but when I think about it, it gives me anxiety. It was really f**king hard.
