Patrick Holland Confirmed As Channel Editor For BBC Two | TV News

Is it a bird, is it a plane, no it’s Patrick Holland. BBC Two is struggling, Top Gear stalling in the overnight ratings and ratings bonanza The Great British Bake Off transferred to BBC One, the corporation has brought in the shows boss, Patrick Holland to instil calm back into the frenzied office that must be BBC Two.

 

Holland has been appointed the newly created role of Channel Editor, following the role of Channel Controller being scrapped in the re-shuffle that coincided with the stepping down of Kim Shillinglaw. Holland will report to Charlotte Moore, who commented on his appointment:

 

“More than ever BBC2 needs to be a place that champions creativity and enables authorship”.
