Comedic actors Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler star as the leading couple in the trailer for the new romantic comedy They Came Together. The leading couple are shown at a dinner telling another couple how they fell in love. Directed by David Wain, the film mocks all the common storylines seen in romantic comedies but with an underlying tragic reality. An example is a scene where Rudd and Poehler are playing in a pile of autumn leaves in the park. Upon leaving, the audience is shown that a dead body has been hidden underneath the leaves. The film will be released in US cinemas on June 27, 2014. It was also shown in the UK at the Sundance Film Festival on April 26, 2014 but no UK cinema release date has yet been confirmed.
