Music blog Pitchfork have just announced Tame Impala as the first headline act for their annual Pitchfork Festival in Chicago.

The event taking place from July 20-22 in Union Park is currently in its 13th year, with previous lineups featuring LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs and Sufjan Stevens. The first acts were revealed live on Facebook today including DRAM and Raphael Saadiq.

Tame Impala aka Kevin Parker will be joined by the touring band for his first full live show since July 2017, aside from a brief DJ appearance in his home town of Perth in December. For European fans, the psychedelic act will also be appearing at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid and Citadel in London this summer.
