Poppy Drayton Cast As Lead In ‘Shannara’ MTV Adaptation | Film News
Poppy Drayton known mostly for her role in Downton Abbey has officially been cast in the adaptation of the fantasy series Shannara written by Terry Brooks. MTV have ordered a 10-episode series, and the first two episodes are set to be directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Drayton has been cast as Amberle Elessedil an Elven Princess, set after the destruction of “modern civilization” in a time reminiscent of medival times. Shannara is set to be released in 2015 but an exact date is yet to be confirmed.
