Natasa Cagalj has been announced as the new Creative Director for Canadian fashion house Ports 1961. The Central St Martins graduate will replace Fiona Cibani in the role, who has been working for Ports for four years and will now transition into her new role as president at Ports NY Inc. Cagalj has previously worked for brands such as Stella McCartney as head of design.
Cibani said of her successor, “Natasa is an incredibly talented individual and creative force. Her vision is perfectly in line with the Ports 1961 woman. I’m very excited to have Natasa on board and I strongly feel it’s time for a new chapter in the evolution of Ports 1961. This is a long-term decision“. Cagalj will reveal her first designs in February when the label unveils its Fall collection in Milan.
