PREP + DEAN – Cold Fire | New Music

Experimental four-piece band PREP have released “Cold Fire” today, the latest new track to emerge from their forthcoming Cold Fire EP set to drop on Friday. The new track follows previous single “Don’t Bring Me Down” and arrives just ahead of a headline show in London’s Oslo on May 5.

This latest instantly immersive track features both production contributions from Kaytranada-approved producer Pomo and backing vocal slickness from Korean megastar DEAN, a driving force behind PREP’s own hothoused success in Asia. The track is driven by its infectious, quirky disco vibe thanks to the feel-good synths and guitars riffs used in a way that’s beautifully retro.

PREP came about as an alias for 4 artists with an eye-watering list of credits under their belts; Co-writer and classical composer keen on electronica Llywelyn Ap Myrddin, House music producer / drummer Guillaume Jambel, Grammy nominee Dan Radclyffe, and writer and frontman Tom Havelock. Four people who wouldn’t normally work together, four worlds combining to create sound that’s undeniably great.
