After two years of absence due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona will return in full strength in 2022 with an incredible edition, which will be divided into three chapters.
The line-up of the festival is quite exceptional, with more than 400 artists offering over 500 performances throughout the festival.
In fact, Primavera Sound 2022 will be an impressive 11-day urban event in which the whole city will be involved. This will take place in the Parc del Fòrum for six days plus a party on the beach of Sant Adrià de Besòs and four days in several venues across the Spanish city.
The 2022 edition will comprise of two weekends between 2nd and 12th of June with different lineups.
The first weekend of the festival, which will open from the 2nd to the 4th of June in the Parc del Fòrum, will welcome The Strokes, Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Gorillaz, Pavement, Massive Attack, Jorja Smith and many other artists already present in the 2021 lineup.
The second weekend will notably feature Dua Lipa, Lorde, Megan Thee Stallion, Interpol and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well as The Strokes, Tame Impala and Tyler, The Creator, among others, who will be playing again between the 9th and 11th of June.
The ‘PRIMAVERA A LA CIUTAT’ project:
Like that wasn’t enough, there will be 150 more concerts, spread over more than 10 venues in Barcelona from 5th to 8th June 2022. “Primavera a la Ciutat will be a festival within itself that is included in any of the tickets for the first or second weekend“, affirmed the festival organizers.
As far as we know, this huge event includes weekday performances by Beck, Jamie xx, Disclosure, Interpol, Jorja Smith, Megan Thee Stallion, Charli XCX and many other great performers to come.
The ‘BRUNCH ON THE BEACH’ final chapter:
A daytime party will also be taking place, helmed by three geniuses of the electronic music scene, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens and Peggy Gou, accompanied by DJ sets from Nicola Cruz, Monolink, Anika Kunst, Malika and many more. This will be the perfect end to a perfect event. This kind of event was all we were waiting for.
