Kill Bill could become a trilogy. Quentin Tarantino has teased the possibility of Kill Bill: Vol. 3 for years, but during an interview with What The Flick?!, Tarantino actually confirmed the possibility of a third film – which is very exciting news for fans of The Bride. “There definitely is a possibility. Stop short of seeing a probability”, Tarantino said to Ben Mankiewicz in the interview.

He went on to explain that he wanted to give Beatrix Kiddo a break and some well-deserved quality time with her daughter. “I put the character Beatrix Kiddo through a lot, and so I wanted her to have this much time for peace. I wanted her to have some time with her daughter and not have to be in the genre machine and enjoy her life for a while”.

Tarantino also expressed a desire to return to more “visionary films“. “So the thing about [Kill Bill] was that is probably my most visionary cinematic contribution. Since then, my work has taken a turn for the literary, and it’s denser and denser with this one [‘The Hateful Eight’] probably being the densest of the group… It would be nice to go back to just a visceral world that’s not about the words anymore”. Watch the full video below, the conversation about Kill Bill begins at around 58:00.
