Radiohead Celebrates ‘The Bends’ Album 20th Anniversary | Music News

Radiohead are renowned legends in their own rights and this weeek, their second album The Bends celebrates its 20th anniversary. This album took the living legends from being one hit wonders to serious competitors in the music industry as well as being responsible for inspiring so many artists, including Coldplay and Mumford and Sons, to become the bands they are today. By writing their own songs for all their albums, they were able to include hard-hitting and personal lyrics, including talking about when they were forced to pull out of Reading and Leeds Festival due to Thom York’s damaged vocal chords. In other Radiohead related news, lead guitarist Jonny Greenwood recently announced plans for the band to “meet” and “plan” for their ninth studio album, suggesting why there are no tour plans for the band in the upcoming months.
