Swedish native, Raindear has shared a live version of her single “Feathers” which is due for general release on May 27. Raindear, aka Rebecca Bergcrantz, grew up surrounded by music with both of her parents being jazz musicians who have also been massive inspirations for her. She eventually ended up singing and writing her own songs from a very young age and carving a career in music for herself.

She says of the track to Billboard:

“Feathers is about decadent and dangerous love. It is about feelings of such an indifferent kind that they become overwhelming and passionate, they’re so fleeting that you might as well give all of yourself, as you can easily lose everything the next second. It’s about fleeting rushes of passion that switch from fear and danger back to indifference”.

“Feathers” is taken from Raindear’s debut album Embers, of which she wrote and produced most of herself in Malmo, Sweden, during a period of prolonged isolation in the studio. Raindear will also be playing the VICE House Party on May 27 during her visit to the UK at the end of May.
