Fashionista and pop star Rihanna has been photographed in a white shark’s mouth for Harper’s Bazaar for the cover of their March 2015 issue. The shark, of course is fake, but looks incredible for the ‘killer fashion’ shoot. The photo pays tribute to Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, where she lounges in the mouth of an animatronic great white shark. Photographer Norman Jean Roy took several other stunning shots of the 26 year old, including the “We Found Love” singer in a white bathing suit swimming towards the surface before a shark. A shot on dry land is also featured with the Barbadian wearing a gold jumpsuit and whipping her brunette curls.
In an included interview, Rihanna talks about sharks in life saying, “try my best to avoid the sharks of life, but I have had my share of experiences with them, and in those cases I just have to handle them accordingly. But I do not swim with sharks … sharks swim with sharks“. She also spoke about her favourite designers, “my favorite red-carpet looks are usually the ones I get to help design: the Adam Selman Swarovski crystal dress at the CFDAs, the Stella McCartney all-white dress at the Met Gala, and the Adam Selman white jersey dress from the VMAs. But the red Azzedine Alaïa at the Grammys is also one of my favourites“.
