Rising Danish Duo Ache Share Music Video For ‘The Weekend’ | Music News

Ache, an up and coming musical duo from Denmark, have shared their debut single called “The Weekend” along with a self-directed music video to match.

Rising alt-pop band Ache are comprised of two talented 19-year-old-singers: Sofus, who also plays the guitar, and Philippe, who is in charge of the production. The project is based on the boys’ long friendship – they have known each other since the age of ten.

Currently students in the northern Danish city of Aalborg, the duo dream about making it big in the music industry and getting a chance to perform their songs live in front of large audiences.

Influenced by the likes of Brent Faiyaz, early Hans Philip, Travis Scott and The Weeknd, Sofus and Philippe create all their tracks entirely from scratch, as they not only write, sing and perform, but also produce and record music.

Their first single is accompanied by a dimly-lit clip helmed by Hans Andersen, which shows the emerging artists hang out in such places as a garage and a countryside road surrounded by cars and motorcycles.

“The Weekend”, which could be described as a mix of lo-fi pop and indie R&B, layers Ache’s smooth, woozy vocals over groovy beats and distorted guitar lines to achieve a relaxed, laid-back effect.
