Robert Downey Jr’s ‘Pinocchio’ Gets Its’ Director | Film News

 

According to reports in The Tracking Board, Academy Award winning director Ron Howard is set to direct Warner Brothers’ upcoming take on Pinocchio.

 

Howard, who’s directorial credits include A Beautiful Mind (2001) and The Da Vinci Code (2006), will replace Paul Thomas Anderson who was previously attached to the project.

 

While explicit story details are yet to be released,the classic tale follows Geppetto (reportedly being played by Downey Jr) as he sets out to find his wooden creation Pinocchio. The new director will also be working with producer Dan Jinks, as well as Robert Downey Jr himself and his wife Susan Downey. No release date has been released.
