Robert Pattinson & John David Washington To Star In Christopher Nolan’s Next Project | Film News

Christopher Nolan is notorious for keeping details of his projects close to the vest, and we still have little details regarding his next movie. However we now know who will be starring. Per Collider, Robert Pattinson and BlackKklansman star John David Washington will headline the film.

While there’s not yet a synopsis or even a title, Variety previously described the film as “a massive, innovative action blockbuster”. The Collider report also added that there will be an age-appropriate female lead alongside Pattinson and Washington, as well as an older male co-star (place your bets here for Michael Caine).

There’s no word on whether this is a love triangle, or if Pattinson and Washington are playing friends or enemies, or any news of that sort. There was speculation that the film could be a sequel of sorts to Inception, but that seems unlikely. Nolan’s past success grants him essentially a blank cheque to make whatever crazy passion project he wants. It seems unlikely he’d make a quasi-sequel.

His power and reach was only confirmed in 2017 when Dunkirk grossed $526 million worldwide – mighty impressive for a war film with no pre-existing built-in fanbase.

Every actor likely wants to work with Nolan, so this is a huge coup for Pattinson and Washington. The former has now totally shed his Twilight skin and become a well-respected actor thanks to roles in films such as Maps To The Stars, The Lost City Of Z, and Good Time. Washington is coming off a breakout role in Spike Lee‘s BlackKklansman.

The rumblings of the next Nolan film is always cause for excitement. He has managed to keep plot details under wraps until release in the past. That may be the case again. We will still wait anxiously for any news in the coming months.
