The new single “Rush” by Queensland artist Tia Gostelow has just been released on the indie New York label AntiFragile Music! At the same time, the artist begins her first North American tour. “Rush” is the first song of her second album to be released in early 2020 with producer Oscar Dawson.
The Queensland artist moved to Brisbane where she made her name. Her first album Thick Skin won “Album of the Year” at this year’s Queensland Music Award and was named “Album of the Year” at Queensland’s The Triffid.
Her single “The Stranger” has had almost 8 million streams on Spotify. The artist has been on many worldwide playlists such as Spotify’s All New Indie, NMF Aus/NZ, Indie Pop, Even Flow, and others.
After touring Europe, playing festivals in Australia and opening for big names, Tia begins 2020 with a tour of America in cities such as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Her new track “Rush”, written with her friend and drummer Baz, is completely different from what she did on her album Thick Skin. This lighter pop track, with a more danceable melody and 80’s atmosphere shows in which style of music the artist will go in her new album.
