Samuel Anderson To Play Doctor Who’s Male Companion In Season 8 | TV News
Former Emmerdale actor Samuel Anderson has been enlisted to play the Doctor’s new companion in the forthcoming season of Doctor Who. Peter Capaldi will be playing the Doctor for the upcoming season, depicting a more sinister version of the time lord than seen in precious seasons.
Samuel Anderson will play teacher Danny Pink from The Coal Hill School. There is no indication of whether Anderson will make occasional appearance as the Doctor’s companion, opposed to a long-term role. Anderson said, “It’s quintessential part of British culture and I can’t believe I’m part of it“. He will join a short list of male companions the Doctor has brought on his adventures over the years.
