Samuel L Jackson can pretty much play any character he wants now, right? Seems so because this time around, he’s playing the President of The United States in new thriller Big Game. Directed by Jalmari Helander, Big Game see’s Air Force One being shot down in Finland, leaving the president stranded where he must rely on a young, skilled camper to help rescue him. Onni Tommilar stars as the young savior in what seems like an impressive performance.
The premise for this film is so far-fetched, its almost laughable, certainly not working within its favor and despite its promise of action packed adventure, something about the trailer alone falls short. Also starring Ray Stevenson, Jim Broadbent, Felicity Huffman, Ted Levine and Victor Garder, Big Game reaches theatres in Finland and the UK on May 8, with no US release date yet.
