It’s been a decade since Sarah Jessica Parker ruled HBO as Sex and The City’s Carrie Bradshaw and now she’s readying for her return in a new half-hour single-camera drama comedy. HBO are finalizing a deal for SJP to star in the sow and take on a role as executive producer. The series, which is awaiting a formal pilot green light, is called Divorced and focuses on the story of a very long divorce.
The show has been written by British writer/actress Sharon Horgan with Horgan expecting help from Paul Simms as assisting writer. This isn’t the first time Simms has helped out on a TV production, he helped writer/actress Lena Dunham with her HBO series Girls. This will be Parker’s first major TV commitment since Sex and The City, so it will be interesting to see how she adapts back to the small screen!
