Scarlett Johansson + Pete Yorn – Bad Dreams | New Music

10 years after releasing her debut album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, Hollywood A-lister Scarlett Johansson has returned with new music. For the occasion, she decided once again to team up with singer-songwriter Pete Yorn, following the pair’s 2009 collaboration Break Up.

The five-song EP, called Apart, includes the electro-pop single “Bad Dreams“. In a press release, the actress has expressed her joy to collaborate with Yorn another time: “It is always a pleasure to sing with Pete because I think our voices and stories complement each other”.

Viewing the EP as an attempt to “get comfortable with the excitement of new freedoms while facing underlying fears of the unknown road that lies ahead”, Yorn explained the idea behind the album: “[Apart] acknowledges the array of heavy emotions that come up living separate lives”.

Check out “Bad Dreams” to get a first taster of the EP, which arrives June 1 via Capitol.
