“We’re going out Gallagher style,” says the tweet posted by Showtime announcing a special event for the end of the flagship series Shameless, scheduled for Sunday night after the end of the final episode credits.
Indeed, next Sunday will air the final episode of the American series Shameless, which began 10 years ago in 2011. For the occasion the cast consisting of William H. Macy, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Christian Isaiah, Noel Fisher, and Kate Miner will meet for a virtual event.
The event is billed as a two-part experience that will be held on the custom GallagherHouse.com website. First, there will be a roundtable meeting with all the actors, followed by a 360-degree immersion of the Gallagher family home.
In a statement, director John Wells said that the last ten years of working on the series was a great time.
“As we sadly prepare to bring the Gallagher story to a close, we knew we had to celebrate with a bash honoring not just those who have brought the series to life, but also the fans who have been with us every step of the way. In this virtual world, we can do that in the truest sense of the word, bringing both our diehard viewers and the characters they love back to where it all started: the Gallagher house”, he said.
The series created by Paul Abbott has continued to impress critics and fans alike over the past 10 years and it is with a heavy heart that we must say goodbye to this series.
