Sky Arts have commissioned a documentary about Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan which is due to be aired over the Christmas period. The show, which was made by the production company Bookhouse, is called “Shane Macgowan: A Wreck Reborn”. The documenary is said to focus mostly on when the Fairytale Of New York singer was going through his dental Treatment.
The creative director, Ian Lamarra, said: “Shane is one of the great songwriters ever produced in Great Britain and Ireland, and we want this film to reflect that.”
