ShaqIsDope – Still Open | New Music
Toronto rapper, ShaqIsDope, is still yet to release his much anticipated project, Black Frames, which is said to be coming soon. However, he has released “Still Open” in the interim and it is produced by FrancisGotHeat. “Still Open” mixes rapping verses and his own singing on the hooks.
It has a very laidback backdrop, but the lyrical delivery is intense and, at times, angry. Thankfully there appears to be little of the autotune used by many of his contemporaries evident on this track, especially when singing choruses. “Still Open” finds the rapper pining for an ex-flame, as if to say the wounds are yet to heal and close.
